Seaboarded Up

A Philadelphia Court Reporting Company is Suing 34 Lawyers

Only a month after Stamford-based Seaboard Realty filed for bankruptcy, its principals have been sued by two major investors in Seaboard development projects.

The plaintiffs include MCK 15 LLC with a business address of c/o Spinnaker Real Estate Group in Norwalk.

The other plaintiff is another long time, local investor from Darien.

Seaboard is the developer of a Residence Inn Marriott on Atlantic Street in Stamford.

The defendants in the lawsuit are John J. DiMenna Jr., of Darien, William A. Merritt Jr., of Darien, and Thomas L. Kelly Jr., of Pinehurst, N.C. The trio are principals in Park Square West Associates LLC and Seaboard Hotel Associates LLC.

In their complaints filed in the Superior Court Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk, it was revealed that two local investors each put up $500,000.

The two local investors assert that they did not receive the membership interest for which they had paid because Park Square West Member Associates and Seaboard Hotel Member Associates were fully subscribed.

Seaboard formed Park Square West Associates in 2011 to acquire Park Square West, a luxury apartment complex in Stamford, and it formed Seaboard Hotel Associates in 2011 to acquire the Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Stamford.
